Who We Are

Parenting Up North was established in March 2025 when married couple, Michelle & Anthony, realised that the North was severely lacking a comprehensive hub for parents.

We set out to create a directory that not only listed businesses that charged an entrance free, but low-cost and free ideas for mums, dads, aunties, uncles, step parents, and grandparents to take their kids to throughout the year. 

Anthony has lived in the Morecambe Bay Area for the whole of his life, and Michelle established her own childcare business in 2022 after finishing her maternity leave with their youngest daughter. Between them, they have a vast amount of local knowledge to share with other parents, whether you’re soon-to-be, new, or seasoned – we aim to cater to you all.

What We Do

With categories ranging from places you may already frequent, to parks and playgrounds we recommend, and businesses that are useful to parents young and old, we want to shout about it all.

Alongside that, we have created our social media channels and news pages to give hints and tips that are useful to all families. Whether that be budgeting, business, or just news that’s relevant to local parents.

Parenting Up North is part of Michelle’s Marketing business (MIMI Marketing Ltd), and through this we aim to offer affordable and effective marketing solutions and advertising space for small businesses in the area.
