The first day of the Simply Baby Lancaster sale saw massive discounts across the store.
The independent retailer will be closing at the end of the month, before the new National Insurance and National Minimum Wage rules come into force.
Business owner, Julie Shaw, said in a Facebook post: “We would like to announce that we have taken the decision to close our doors at Simply Baby Lancaster, and we will be going into retirement at the end of March.
”We will be offering amazing discounts off ex display and full boxed stock, including prams, car seats, furniture and accessories!”
The North Road business has assured customers that orders already placed will still be fulfilled.
Parents across Lancaster have commented on the original post offering messages of praise to Julie and her team.
Rachel said: You were so helpful when I bought my pram thirteen years ago and I absolutely loved the one you helped me choose and the beautiful crib!
“Enjoy your retirement. The high street and customers will be sad to see you go.”
Karin said: “You saved me when I had a newborn and discovered the pram I’d bought didn’t fit in my car, it was the absolute last straw for an overwhelmed new mum.
“Eighteen years ago now and I still remember the relief of you turning up at my door delivering the replacement, you were so encouraging and made me feel like I would actually be able to manage things.
“You will be missed!”
Parents will be able to shop the sale by visiting Simply Baby Lancaster between now and the end of March.
